LAMDA
At King’s Cross Academy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to find and use their voice with confidence. That is why we are proud to be one of the small number of state schools offering LAMDA examinations as part of our curriculum.
Through our Actor in Residence programme, delivered in partnership with Vibe Arts, pupils have the opportunity to prepare for nationally recognised LAMDA qualifications. These qualifications develop communication, performance and public speaking skills, helping children to express themselves clearly, creatively and confidently.
As pupils progress through the school, they work towards a range of qualifications:
• Year 3 – LAMDA Solo Introductory Qualification
• Year 4 – LAMDA Speaking in Public Entry Qualification
• Year 5 – LAMDA Speaking in Public Level 1 Qualification
These opportunities form part of our curriculum and, as such, all tuition and examination costs are fully funded by the school.
To date, KCA has a 100% pass rate for all LAMDA qualification taught at the school.
