King’s Cross Academy is sponsored by King’s Cross Academy Trust.
This is a Single Academy Trust which has been approved as a sponsor by the Department for Education. After an open competition by Camden Council, King’s Cross Academy Trust was selected to sponsor King’s Cross Academy. There are five members of King’s Cross Academy Trust: Stephen Hubbard, Alexandra Woolmore, Robert Evans, Ross McCall and Coline McConville.

Coline McConville, Trust Member
Australian born with two children, I have lived and worked abroad since 1989, and been based in the UK since 1994. I live in Highgate in North London. I trained as a lawyer in Australia, completed an MBA at Harvard Business School, and my executive career was in advertising and general management.

Ross McCall, Trust Member
Ross McCall is the Chief Operating Officer of the King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership (‘KCCLP’), the long-term developer and owner of the 67-acre King’s Cross Estate. He is a qualified solicitor by training (now non-practising), completed an MBA at the University of Edinburgh’s Business School and has worked in both law and for the past decade before joining KCCLP in a range of roles in the Real Assets business of a global investment manager, spending time based out of London, Edinburgh and Singapore. King’s Cross Academy (‘KCA’), sponsored by the King’s Cross Academy Trust formed by KCCLP as a part of its long-term commitment to KCA, is at the heart of King’s Cross and plays a key role for the Estate’s and surrounding communities.

Stephen Hubbard, Trust Member
Stephen Hubbard is the Chairman of the King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership, the long-term developer and owner of the 67-acre King’s Cross Estate. He spent 43 years at CBRE, where he held various senior management positions, ending up as Chairman of the UK business, before retiring in 2019. He was on the Board of Workspace plc, for 9 years, the last 3 years as Chairman, retiring in 2023. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Alexandra Woolmore, Chair of Governors and Trust Member
Alexandra Woolmore is Head of Planning at Argent where she is responsible for securing planning permissions for Argent’s projects. As part of her role, she was also heavily involved in the design and planning of the King’s Cross Academy and the subsequent sponsorship process and remains the strategic lead for the delivery of new and replacement schools on Argent’s development at Brent Cross. Before joining Argent, Alexandra worked at Linklaters where she qualified as a planning and environmental lawyer. Alexandra also sits on the board of Poplar Harca, a housing association in East London, and was formerly a governor at Bow School for 11 years. She has a daughter who is currently at primary school.

Robert Evans, Trust Member
Robert Evans, founding Chair of Governors of King’s Cross Academy is CEO of the Welcome Genome Campus.
Robert has a long background in real estate and development, having spent 23 years with the property company Argent/Related Argent. He was chief executive of King’s Cross N1C, where he oversaw the vision, planning, delivery, and execution of the renowned King’s Cross development – one of the most successful examples of urban redevelopment and regeneration globally with King’s Cross Academy at the heart of its development.
