Wrap Around Care and Clubs
King’s Cross Academy is committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to provide safe, stimulating and enjoyable childcare for our pupils.
The Co-Curriculum
At King’s Cross Academy, learning extends far beyond the classroom.
Our co-curriculum gives children opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents, build confidence and enjoy experiences that complement our ambitious curriculum. Alongside this, our wraparound provision supports families with high-quality childcare before and after the school day and during school holidays.
Together, these opportunities help us provide children with a rich and varied experience of school life.
Wraparound Care – The Play Professionals
Our breakfast and after-school childcare is provided on site by The Play Professionals.
The provision gives families access to high-quality childcare beyond the school day in a safe, welcoming and familiar environment.
Before school, children can enjoy breakfast and take part in supervised activities before being supported to begin their school day. After school, children have opportunities to play, relax, socialise and take part in a range of activities.
Wraparound care is separate from our programme of co-curricular clubs. Families can choose the childcare arrangements that best meet their needs alongside any co-curricular activities their child attends.
Booking, availability and charges are managed through The Play Professionals. Click here to book.
The Play Professionals also provide childcare during a number of school holidays and INSET days.
Children can take part in a varied programme of play, creative activities, sport and other experiences, while families have access to high-quality childcare beyond the normal school term.
Availability, dates, charges and booking arrangements are managed directly by The Play Professionals. Click here to learn more.
Extra Curricular Clubs
We want every child at King’s Cross Academy to have opportunities to explore interests and experiences beyond their everyday lessons.
Our programme of co-curricular clubs runs throughout the academic year and offers activities across sport, creativity, performance, technology and other areas of interest. The programme changes during the year so that children can experience a broad range of opportunities.
Clubs are available for children from Reception to Year 6, with details of each term’s programme, availability and booking arrangements shared with families.
We are committed to making our co-curricular offer as inclusive and accessible as possible so that children can take advantage of the opportunities available to them.
You can find our most recent co-curricular club booklet below.
We work hard to make sure our wrap around extended school service and co curricular is accessible to every child at the Academy
