At King’s Cross Academy, personal development is not something that happens by chance – it is carefully planned, intentionally taught and experienced throughout every child’s journey.

We believe that education should develop character alongside knowledge. Every child deserves opportunities to discover their strengths, build meaningful relationships, contribute to their community and develop the confidence to embrace new challenges. Through our curriculum, wider experiences, leadership opportunities and everyday school life, we help children grow into respectful, resilient and compassionate young people who are ready to thrive both in school and beyond.

Our approach is rooted in our six school values – Respect, Integrity, Endurance, Kindness, Courage and Aspiration. These values provide a shared language for character across the Academy and help children understand not only what we value, but what those values look like in the choices they make, the way they treat others and the contribution they make to their community.

Alongside our school values, we actively promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These are woven through our curriculum and wider school life, helping children understand their rights and responsibilities, appreciate different perspectives and prepare to participate positively in modern society.
